Know All Men By These Presents that we, John Sunday, Jacob Payhegezhick, Jacob Sunday, James Sahgahnahquothoabe, Jacob Pahbecoun and James Nahwahquashkum, Sachems and Chief Warriors of the Mississagua Tribe of Indians of the Bay of Quinté, in the Province of Upper Canada, in consideration of the trust and confidence by us reposed in His Most Gracious Majesty King William the Fourth, and in order that His said Most Gracious Majesty, His heirs and successors, may grant and dispose of the lands and hereditaments hereinafter comprised and described, for the benefit of the said Indians, in such manner and form and at such price or prices as to His Majesty, His heirs and successors, shall seem best, do remise, release, surrender, quitclaim and yield up unto His Majesty King William the Fourth, His heirs and successors, all and singular those certain pieces or parcels of land known and described by the Surveyor-General of the said Province as lots twenty-eight, twenty-nine, thirty and thirty-one on the Bay of Quinté, in front of the first concession of the Township of Thurlow, in the County of Hastings, Midland District, of the said Province, to the end, intent and purpose that the said lands and premises shall and may be granted and disposed of by His said Majesty, His heirs and successors, in trust for the benefit of the said Indians, and upon and for no other use, trust, end, intent or purpose whatsoever.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
In Witness Whereof, we the said Sachems and Chief Warriors of the said Indians, have hereunto set our hands and seals at Grape Island, in the Province aforesaid, this 15th day of December, in the year of Our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty-five.&lt;br /&gt;
